Dr. Jitendra N. Verma, Managing Director oversees the day-to-day management of the company. Dr. Verma possesses a Masters degree from Allahabad University and is a Ph.D. from PGIMER Chandigarh. He pursued his research interests specializing in Lipid Biochemistry and application of Liposome Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern University, Georgetown University, and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Washington DC. During his tenure at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), he made significant contribution to the development of Liposomal Malaria Vaccine. Dr. Verma has been involved in the development and commercialization of a number of healthcare products including diagnostics and pharmaceuticals. The team led by Dr Verma has commercialized the first Hepatitis C test in Asia. He has developed and commercialized the first Liposomal product of India - a Liposome Agglutination test of Syphilis. Dr. Verma is a pioneer in the application of Liposome Technology in the Indian pharmaceutical industry. His distinguished leadership has enabled Lifecare Innovations to launch FUNGISOME™ - India’s first liposomal drug and for this Lifecare Innovations received Technology Day 2004 National Biotechnology Award.

Dr. Jitendra N. Verma is the recipient of the “Scientist of the Year Award for 2005” from the Gian Chand Jain Memorial Foundation for pioneering the development and indigenous production of liposomal products including FUNGISOME™. Dr. Verma has filed 6 patents for Novel Drug Delivery System.

Dr. Lily Verma, Medical Director of the company is a medical graduate with specialization in General Surgery (MBBS, MS). She has been equally involved in both, surgical practice and medical research at eminent medical institutions. Her research areas include stem cell research with focus on drug mediated / cultured stem cells induced recovery of spinal cord in animal models subjected to graded spinal cord injuries. Her work at Georgetown University Medical School, Washington DC pertained to drug under development as therapeutic intervention for spinal cord injuries involving extensive use of Tissue Culture Techniques, Immuno-histo-cytology and Electron Microscopic morphological assessment of recovery. She is presently engaged in evaluating a number of Controlled Release Pharmaceuticals for inclusion in Lifecare's product portfolio. Dr. Verma had filed 2 patents related to Novel Drug Delivery System.

                                                                                               
Prof. G. K. Khuller, Director – Research is an internationally acclaimed expert in tuberculosis and dermatophytes. His pre-eminent position emanates from four decades of extensive work and outstanding contribution on the different facets of experimental tuberculosis, i.e. immnunodiagnostics for detection of tuberculosis, development of vaccine against tuberculosis, sustained drug delivery system for anti-tubercular drugs, mechanism of drug resistance in mycobacteria, anti-mycobacterial peptides and pathogenesis of dermatophytes. Prof. Khuller is former Professor & Head, Department of Biochemistry, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.

Dr. Neelam Suri, Co-ordinator Research & Training is a Gold Medalist M.Sc. (Hons) Biochemistry from Panjab University. She is a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore where she carried out her work on ‘Antibodies to mono-, di – and trinucleotides binding at specific sites on double stranded DNA’. Dr. Suri is responsible for collection, preparation and presentation or training material, and product literature for promotion of new drugs of Lifecare Innovations. She is also involved in the technology transfer from collaborative laboratories to the company.

Ms. Arshia A. Lalljee, Finance Director has a Masters degree in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University and M.Phil. in Business Management from Leeds University, U.K. She has more than 22 years of rich and varied experience in Finance & Accounts Management, Banking, Corporate Affairs, Investment Management and General Administration.

Mr. Iskander A. Lalljee, Marketing Director has over 19 years of experience in niche marketing. His expertise covers Marketing Research, Product Development and New Product Launch. Mr. Lalljee has special interest in pollution control. His efforts have also contributed in the development of eco-friendly devices aimed at minimising health hazards.

Mrs. Hamida A. Lalljee, Director has more than 32 years industrial and administrative experience as Executive Director of Sud-Chemie India Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. S. K. Bajpai, Vice President (Corporate Affairs) is a Ph.D. in Finance and Chartered Accountant. He carries with him 28 years’ rich experience having held senior positions in the public sector as well as the private sector. Dr. Bajpai specialises in financial planning and management, corporate plans and policies, MIS and reporting systems, risk management and capital markets.
