PRODUCTS

Lifecare Innovations is the first Indian company to manufacture a liposomal drug and one of the only two in the world manufacturing Liposomal Amphotericin B under the brand name FUNGISOME™.
Imported Liposomal Amphotericin B is prohibitively expensive thus restricting and limiting its use. Lifecare Innovations is striving to make Liposomal Amphotericin B affordable to patients in India in addition to tapping the vast export potential.

FUNGISOME™ is a life-saving drug used in the treatment of invasive fungal infections and Kala-Azar. Systemic fungal infections frequently occur in recipients of organ transplants, those undergoing dialysis, radiotherapy or chemotherapy for cancer, diabetics and serious burn injuries. Kala-Azar is widespread in Bihar, Orissa, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bengal and northeastern states of India.

With the introduction of FUNGISOME™ Lifecare Innovations has made foray in an area few companies in the developed world have gained entry.

To complement anti-fungal treatment, Lifecare Innovations has in February 2006 launched Amphotericin B i.v. under the brand name FUNGITERICIN™ which is the mainstay for the treatment of Systemic Mycosis and Kala-Azar. The company has also launched Itraconazole capsules under the brand name FUNGITRACE™. This is the best oral antifungal broad-spectrum drug for continuation of treatment of fungal infections.

Two more Liposomal Gel preparations of major API for topical applications PSORISOME™ Gel for the treatment of the dreaded disease Psoriasis and FUNGISOME™ Gel for topical fungal infections and cutaneous leishmaniasis were launched on Technology Day, viz. 11th May 2006. This gives Lifecare Innovations the distinction of being the only company in the world with multiple liposomal pharmaceuticals. Both these wonder drugs are now available to patients for the first time ever in the world.
